Still Evening in the Dunes
Still Evening in the Dunes
6” x 6” / oil on linen panel / framed
One evening I went walking along Conimicut Point in Warwick, on the Narragansett Bay. The sun was setting, and the dunes were cast in the warmest and most delicious light. Grass dunes are among some of my favorite subjects to paint, so I enjoyed playing with the composition of this one, keeping the shapes simple and abstract.
I am happy to be offering these paintings as part of a fundraiser, to raise money to donate to a student in need. I hope to be A Light in the Darkness for someone who is trying to make their lives and the world a better place by gaining an education. I believe that offering opportunities for education can have a great impact and bring light into the world. So, I am donating 20% of all sales from this collection to a student in need. In 2024 I was able to pay the full tuition for a young woman, a Haitian refugee, so she could earn her CNA. Let’s see if we can do even better this year!
