Remains of Winter
Remains of Winter
8.5” x 11.5” / oil on panel / framed
I painted this one in my studio after a sledding trek to the fields near our home one evening in late January. The snow was a few days old, and the dusk was heavy with clouds and intense mood. I knew I had to paint the feeling of that cold evening.
I am happy to be offering these paintings as part of a fundraiser, to raise money to donate to a student in need. I hope to be A Light in the Darkness for someone who is trying to make their lives and the world a better place by gaining an education. I believe that offering opportunities for education can have a great impact and bring light into the world. So, I am donating 20% of all sales from this collection to a student in need. In 2024 I was able to pay the full tuition for a young woman, a Haitian refugee, so she could earn her CNA. Let’s see if we can do even better this year!
